Option choices at Key stage 4 and 5 afford students the opportunity to engage with prominent local employer sectors and offer robust pathways into higher education and apprenticeships. Delivering the vision Maths, English and Science form the following percentages of curriculum time:
Year 7 = 42%
Year 8 = 42%
Year 9 = 42%
Year 10 = 52% + 10% for Triple Science
Year 11 = 56%
British values are incorporated within all subjects but especially in History, Geography and in English. PSHE is delivered by form tutors for one 60 minute session on a TWO WEEK timetable for KS3 and KS4. RS is delivered for one 60 minute session on a TWO WEEK timetable for KS3. The curriculum is taught in lessons of 60 minutes duration on a TWO WEEK timetable. There are 5 lessons each day – 25 a week. Form time runs for 30 minutes at the start of each day.

9 Groups for DT and Food (2 populations)
Students will be set in Core subjects by October half term

Key Stage 4 Curriculum (Years 10 and 11)
All students will study Science, Mathematics, English and English Literature at GCSE level. Students select a further 4 GCSEs or BTECs from a number of options. (See Below). They must choose at least one from History/Geography.

History, Geography, RS, French, Spanish, Triple Science, Art, Music, Drama, DT, Engineering, Food, Sport, Travel and Tourism, Business, Health and Social Care, ICT, Computing.
Key Stage 5 Curriculum (Years 12 and 13)
Students follow BTEC and OCR Level 3 courses or ‘A’ levels, dependent upon their GCSE results. Students are expected to study 3 subjects. Students that have not achieved a grade 4 in Maths or English will continue to study these subjects.
